Sol Edler has been perfecting his unique brand of soul for years now. Following a brief tenure teaching art & music, he decided to pursue music full-time, proclaiming "It's the only thing that makes me happy & keeps me sane."

Taking to the DC open-mic circuit, he hooked up with Reg Jones & David Kuti of BolaMarge Ent., appearing on seemingly every existing mic in the metropolitan area. Sol has renewed the faith of his listeners in "the art of true soul music". Lending his voice to the group, Zwei and other area acts, including The Washington Area Music Award ("Wammy") winning a capella group, Reverb, Sol caught major attention as a background singer for Eric Roberson in '03.

Since then, he has opened for or sang with acts such as Faith Evans, Mint Condition, Leela James, Justin Timberlake, Kim Burrell, Lalah Hathaway, and Rahsaan Patterson.  Likened to male vocalists such as Luther Vandross & Donny Hathaway, Sol Edler's style touches on every corner of soul music as we know it.

His debut project, "Song of Solomon, Book I" is a cross-section of R&B, jazz, funk, & gospel from his own unique perspective & with it, he earned a 2006 Wammy nomination as a solo artist. With album singles "Step Further", "Make Me Cry", and "Crush" in rotation on Howard University Radio (WHUR 96.3 FM) and The Musicchoice cable radio network, keep your eyes and ears open for more great music yet to come from this DC native.
