Born James E. Watkins Sept 23 in a town called Greenville, S.C. Chucky is his nick name given by his mom after birth. as a small child, James has always loved music. He recalls listening to Freda Paine, and Otis Redding as his Sister's played them over, and over. His Mom on the other hand use to listen to Mahalyah Jackson, Al-Green, Percy Sledge, James Brown and B.B. King..James recalls sitting listening to his Grandmother play the Organ, she played quite well. James used to watch colored TV at his Grandmother because his mother could not afford one.

James recalls seeing the Jackson Five on the ED Sullivan Show one evening, and it was then he knew where, and what his place was to be on this earth. It was the music, and such showmanship that kept his attention to the tube. James Uncle Charles Michael Copeland also from Greenville & South Carolina played with Moses Dillard, Peabo Bryson, and Al-freeman . His Uncle took James under his wings, took him to his first visit in a recording & Studio Mike taught me a lot about the structure of writing a song, and often the Pains and Joys that make a song good. I used to talk to Peabo some too, He was a inspiration musically to me as well, just because he did something right, that is he succeeded. Little does he know, He and my uncle Mike was my mentor in a direct, and indirect way, I learned from them.

I remember as a small boy pretending to play guitar with a broom. It wasn't until my Aunt Joan bought me my very first electric guitar that ever attempted to play. it became the instrument of his choice that he struck too It was his aunt that saw something in him musically. Writing, and playing his guitar became more intense James loved putting together beautiful chords, often while other's played James stayed to himself writing every thought to paper. It wasn't until his first heartbreak that he wrote Don't Come Smiling Back; at the age of 17, it was a song that he could really be proud of, the pains and Joys that his uncle had spoke about, It became his first record he completed. The first group to ever record this song was the Al-dos Band, which was never released Same Old Talk is a song about James’s mother, she was a very giving person perhaps to giving at times James watched his mom struggle with the addiction to Alcohol which affected him in many ways. Again all the pains and Joys of living in a not so perfect world, this song is about when people took advantage of her, she often would say over, and over again It's alright he would say James it's alright while under the influence and not even realize it James says that his mother made him attend Church, and Bible study where he learned about Christ, and being not of the worldly things. I learned so much from my mom.

She taught me to love people despite the evil one's taker's and the hater's, a lot of wasted energy she would say. She would tell me that you can't change people, people & God have to changepeople. It's like a blind madness, or cancer that certain people pro zestit's an evil, Most of all she taught me to love me Despite what you see! Or what people may say, despite what they do, that vengeance was his!I hope that you enjoy this song it's personal, all of them are, especially this one James's signature is his unique Guitar style, and his beautiful chords structures is what make his songs so timeless, James is one of the most sawed after producer's around almost everyone love's his songs. James admirer's Ms. Dianne WarrenKenny Gamble, and huff. In his spare time he like's countryAfter losing his wife of 22yrs in a fatal car crash Don't take this life for granted that he now realizes thatthe song was about himself.

The song is about all those people that live above God, and that nothing can touch, or rain on their parade My lesson is just that, We should never get to comfortable, My mom use to say what makes you laugh, can also make you cry. And that every season's going to change. And that nothing has never been hitch to the back of a hearse. She would tell me that when you are blessed, that youshould bless others as you can. James is a very well rounded Producer, Song Writer, and Musician. His soft spoken voice is often compared to Smokey Robertson, Curtis Mayfield, but his music on the other hand is huge, James said that he always enjoyed doing what other's say couldn't be done and proving them all wrong.

James takes his music seriously, and to heart. James wants’ to acknowledge the lord and Savor Jesus Christ, for suffering for an unworthy me, thank you.
