Born
February 8, and raised in St. Louis, Mo. The Second child of six,
first son of two. A sweet loving mother & a supporting father
tried to raise their children with care, responsibility & morals.
Instead, a mentally ill woman who struggled to make a living for
her children, while her drug addictive husband worked everyday to
support his habit. I am a product of this experement known as poverty.
Picked on and beat up all of my childhood for not having cool things,
always wearing the same clothes, & mentally stressed from beatings
that my mother would give me and not know why. Prodigy of the ghetto,
beaten by police, & gunned down for gangbanging. What do you
have from all of this? A sometime sadistic poet, artist, & lyricist
that loves to sing. This is "Synn".
In 1999 I hooked up
with a new record company in Saint Louis call Madhouse Records. At
the time it was only two artist Big Relly Rell and Big Meat. I came
along and made the third. They released their first album in 2000
called, "The
24th Hour", and I appeared on the bonus track of the cd. I had a very grimmy
sinister sound and so Synn was born. We did shows all around the midwest area
and got notice by an A&R person from Quest Records, which was Quincy Jones
record label. He like what he heard and wanted to work with us immediatley. Due
to poor management and a very unprofessional staff they claimed we were not about
our business and decided to let us go. In 2001 Madhouse released a second cd.
It was a newly formed group called the X-min, and the name of the cd was "The
Storm".
The group consisted of Big Meat, Synn, and Creep. Due to poor management
once again, and fighting among a senior artist and the newer artists,
X-min left Madhouse and went there seperate ways. I then start working
with long time friends Tone Rebel and Ill Pop and became an affiliate
of Hot 50 Productions. I worked along side artists at Sub-Zero Record
with artist like Big Cheezy. I did a solo cd in 2002 call "Occupational Hazard" and another solo cd in 2003 called "Big
B Presents Synn Ystu". On each cd I still worked with Big Meat aka Deillo
St. Clair collaboing on numerous songs while he did most of the production on
both cds. The rest was done by Tone Rebel and Ill Pop. In 2006 and 2007 I worked
with my cousin Loco and his partner Solo and they called themselves Phoenix Entertainment
which was another Saint Louis based company. I worked on many promising songs
and was about to release another solo cd when Loco died and I didn't want to
do music any longer. But I know thats not what he wanted me to do so I got back
in the saddle after a year of wondering what I was going to do next. Ladies and
gentlemen I introduce...Synn
