In
January 2005, PEANUTHEAD created Funktional Beatz Productions. A
small home based production company focusing not only on Music Production,
but on Artist Promotion, CD Replication / Manufacturing, and Artist
Development.
PEANUTHEAD born & raised in New York City has been interested
in music since he was five years old when he got his first drum set.
At age seven he formed a singing group named The Junior Jackson’s
(Jackson Five tribute group) in New York City at PS 75 located on
the upper West Side of Manhattan. Coincidently Mr. Kline A.K.A Gene
Simmons from the legendary rock band “KISS” taught at
this public school and would attend the group’s shows.
At ten years old PEANUTHEAD was the lead singer of his school
music club at Dora L. Small Elementary School in South Portland,
Maine putting on a solo performance in front of the entire town
of about 7,000 people. For the next fifteen years PEANUTHEAD was
in numerous garage bands that never really had committed members.
After moving to South Florida in 1997 & getting adjusted after
a couple of years PEANUTHEAD tried his musician skills again when
he was asked to join a Rod Stewart tribute band called Hot Rod, where
he played the drums/back up vocals. After the band became virtually
invisible to the public PEANUTHEAD decided to take control of his own dream by producing
and writing his own original music, writing & producing his first
song in late 2002 called "NOW I KNOW"
PEANUTHEAD..... Singer/ Songwriter/ Producer was nominated for “2003
Unsigned Songwriter of the Year" for his debute single "NOW
I KNOW" at the Big Time Talent & Awards Show, a Hill Girl
Inc. production held at Mizner Park in Boca Raton, Florida.
In February 2003 PEANUTHEAD was invited to participate in UPN 33’s "New
Artist Profile" a TV program showcasing South Florida’s
local & upcoming talent. PEANUTHEAD has produced and completed
numerous tracks of all genres including Rock, Hip Hop, Rap, Dance,
R&B and Movie/TV Soundtracks.
PEANUTHEAD and BeAtFrEaK got together in 2004 to release "No
Homicide" a song that sends a positive message and debuted at
number 3 on the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami Independent Mix Charts. It's
a GREAT track and has been described as Urban Rap with a Latin/Hip
Hop beat.
PEANUTHEAD in 2005 produced 3 tracks "Record Spin" / "Tonight's
The Night" / “Make Dat’ Cash” with unsigned
solo artist/rappers D' General, D' Black, Jaxx, and Wizz all from
the So. Florida area.
PEANUTHEAD in 2005 has worked on projects with the "Senate
Squad" a 3 member rap group out of North Broward Florida.
PEANUTHEAD in 2006 got together with Tampa, Florida based MySpace.com
female artist “VERCCE” to release the R&B track “HOPELESSLY
IN LOVE”
PEANUTHEAD in 2007 collaborated with Iowa based MySpace.com artist "CBC,
25 & The Family" to release “D Day” and is
in the works with other MySpace.com music artist.
PEANUTHEAD in 2007 collaborated with MySpace.com up and coming artist "JR
THE ELEMENT" to produce "BIG SHOT"
PEANUTHEAD in 2007 collaborated with New Jersey based MySpace.com
artist “AJe” to produce "SPOTLIGHT" a track
with great lyrical content.
PEANUTHEAD in 2008 collaborated with Miami, Florida based MySpace.com
artist/mc “VEMON” releasing the track “YOU
KNOW”
PEANUTHEAD in 2008 collaborated with Newark, New Jersey based MySpace.com
artist “MOSES DA’ GREAT” to release the
smooth Hip Hop track “FEEL YOUR PAIN”
PEANUTHEAD is continuously producing new tracks of all genres and
available to collaborate or assist in any new music projects.
