Marcus
A. Hunt, 26 years of age, married with 10 beautiful children. the
oldest of 4 boys and 1 girl.
Raised in Mississippi with my grandparents I learn to value
life through their deaths. I moved to Kenner, LA at 13 due to
my troubled lifestyle.
I became a loose cannon upon meeting my father for the first
time at the age of 10. Not really knowing my father and being
rejected by him at 10 made me very depressed even to this day
i hate not being able to have that relationship good or bad.
That left me scarred with alot of pain and anger which cause
me to make alot of bad choices in my life. With children of my
own whom I love dearly I stress the importance of education and
reality of this world daily and strive to succeed not for myself
but for them because suceed or fail they love respect and look
up to me as their father so I do my best to give them what I
did not have as a child a FATHER.
Because through them I will be a legend and that is the secret
to living forever. Why this name? M. H.u.n.T. means Maintain,
Humility, Understanding, Now Teach and it is my birth name abbreviated
M. H.u.n.T.(Marcus Hunt) Do you play live? Not at the present.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music
industry? It has opened many closed doors.
Such as getting yourself exposed to a general audience. Would
you sign a record contract with a major label? Yes, but not as
quick as I would have in the past. Band History: M. H.u.n.T.
(BKA) H.u.n.T. or L.I.L was born 10/05/1979 in Natchez, MS.
He began writing poetry at the young age of 10. Being the oldest
of 5 he turn to older family members for advice. After displaying
an extraordinary talent for writing an older cousin ask him to
write a love poem based on a song performed by Jodeci. amazed
with his creativity. They srarted writing short verses and compared
each others skills.
Upon hearing some rap music he then found a new direction for
his writings. Studying Ice T's "Power" he attention
turn toward gangster rap.
Combined with the pain of being both father and motherless and
the love and joy of being raised by his grandparents, he found
direction for expressing his anger.
He study artists from stemming from Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Eiht,
Ice T, MC Ren, D.O.C., 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, Biggie, Jay Z, Beanie
Sigal, and so on. Being from a low populated country area exposing
his talents was impossible.
At 13, he was order by Youth Court to attend school in Kenner,
LA. there he was exposed to several forms of music. After being
expelled from school he was order to remain on probation until
his 18th birthday and consider banned from Franklin County, MS.
It was later established he wasn't, so he decided to remain in
Kenner.
With the encouragment of neighborhood friends he reframed from
a life of crime because he felt he was a leader. And his friend
believe he was destined to be a great motivational speaker based
upon his academics and exceptional storytelling abilities.
Demanding ones attention with his powerful voice and inspiring
words he paints a picture in your mind through his words. With
no success he submitted several demos to the local companies
only to be turned away.
He then turned to producing and created his on beat unvailing
yet another extraordinary talent. After fathering 10 children
he settled in Springdale, AR where he is working several local
artist and set up an artist page on www.isound.com (M. H.u.n.T.)
where some of his early works are posted. More focused than ever
he is now working on a mixtape to display and bring back the
art of storytelling through music again.
