Countrified
Countrified is the first artist from South Carolina to captivate
the hip-hop world. With ten years of composing and performing,
Countrified’s unique sound sets him apart from today's
average rapper. Joining the United States Marines Corps provided
the opportunity for Country to travel the world. His ceaseless
self-promotion and high-octane talent showcases quickly gained
the respect of his peers. While serving in Japan, Down Yonda
Inc. drew instant praise from locals. Countrified became a media
darling appearing on Japanese television, radio and-newspaper
interviews.
After leaving the service and landing in sunny California, his
sites were set on the Hollywood scene. Within 8 months of his
arrival, Countrified was nominated as one of the best local rappers
by a popular morning radio show. Shortly after, he was requested
to perform on 100.3 The Beat’s highly rated "Steve
Harvey Morning Show." The response was so overwhelming
that Countrified was asked to return week after week.
He also won many prestigious freestyle competitions including "Source
magazine’s" Unsigned Hype. Countrified has
performed at The Steve Harvey Hoodie Awards, Los Angeles Summer
Jam, the Official Soul Train after party and B.E.T.’s Teen
Summit.
These outstanding performances lead to acting opportunities
on the following movies, commercials and television shows: Blind
Justice (FOX), My name is Earl (NBC), Date Movie, Soul Plane,
(National) Dr. Pepper commercial, The Parkers, All of Us, Half & Half,
Girlfriends, The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, Cedric The Entertainer
Presents, The Steve Harvey Show, Drew Carey show, Tracey Morgan
Show, Oh Drama, and if that’s not enough, he composed the
theme song for B.E.T.’s new television show, "The
Way We Do It."
