What
up World,
This is ya boy CeeNabes the sole proprietor of CeeNabes Productions LLC operating
in Beckley WV. Oh yea I am an African American and I was born in West
Virginia (hard to believe I know). I am currently 24 years old born Oct
13, 1982 and it was a Friday.
I am a percussionist from birth
getting my start from banging on pots and pans before I could walk
properly. When
I was in the 7th grade I started really getting serious about playing
music by joining the marching band. I
led the drum line of my Jr. High School my 9th grade year. By
the end of my 10th grade year I ended my marching band career because
the material I was playing became very corny and I did not like the
direction of the band director.
I was always into rap Kris Kross
being my inspiration to start rapping I think I was like ten when
I started writing rhymes. I got really serious about
rapping when I was sixteen. I helped an old friend put together
a studio in his mother’s basement and I recorded my first demo
out of it. I
was not producing back then because I did not discover my talent
yet. I
discovered my talent after joining the military when I was eighteen. I
was stationed at Ft. Benning GA where I meet a guy who also did music. We
teamed up and all we had was a DR 505 drum machine and 4 track cassette
recorder. It
was then I started playing with the drum machine and discover my
ear for putting together tunes. Soon I started getting equipment
and software of my own and I loved it.
After a couple of years into
making beats a meet a guy who had a studio in Columbus GA. I
was really into rapping and making my own beats by then and started
laying down my tracks in his studio. After seeing that I had
raw talent for doing what I did he proposed a business opportunity
for me to be the president of his production company. I accepted
the offer and hit the ground running. I
would be in the studio until 4 in the morning daily and had to be
at P.T. formation at 6 am. Soon my studio involvement and all
activities I enjoyed while in the studio helped put an end to my
military career. Seeing that I was
not going to stay in anyway, and the Iraq war starting to pop off
I looked at it as a blessing.
After departing from the military me and the studio owner decided
it was time to move to Atlanta for better exposure to the music industry. Everyday
was a very hard grind for us. We had to do lots of undisclosed
activities to survive. Soon I got fed up with the way things
were going with the production company and moved back to my home
town to be my own CEO and make moves at the pace I wanted it to go.
I
needed Capital to start my business so I accepted a job offer to
work in Kuwait making tax free dollars. I am currently still
in Kuwait building my capital laying down beats and making moves
for my music career.
I was always told the worst thing in a man’s life is waking up to a job
he hates going to but has to because that’s the only reliable source of
income. I can’t be that, this is why I know I want to be a producer
I don’t rap because I don’t have to voice for it but my beats is
banging and I know the techniques to make a good rapper.
Sincerely,
Chris “CeeNabes” Nabors
